Pitch Live NEC Judge
In the autumn of 2025, I had the incredible honour of being asked to be an expert judge at the Pitch Live event at the National Exhibition Centre. This was very exciting and a bit nerve wracking as I had never done anything like this before. These fairs are a goldmine for fresh, imaginative ideas and talent, and each finalist left a mark.
PlayPress toys and award winning and eco-friendly business introduced us to beautifully crafted, sustainable playsets for children made in the UK.

Worgan Games, a family-run business, wowed us with their high-quality playing card and fun games.

However Blue Bear & Co. took the overall prize at the Autumn Fair, deeply moving keepsake bears, born from Nic's deep love and loss for her son Charlie (Charity - Thumbs Up For Charlie). A truly gorgeous keepsake bear that can be personalised with smell, has a heart beat and is so soft to touch.

This year I was given the honour of being asked to appear again as an expert judge on a panel of 3 at the Spring Fair, another wave of creativity shone:
Wild Tribe Heroes charmed us with their environmental children's books and plush characters;

Grubbybubs all the way from Australia wowed us with their adorable wee wellie s made for early walkers, from Australia and won the overall prize at the Springfair.

Plewsy offered adorable children’s aprons, perfect for crafting and helping out in the kitchen.

While some of these businesses aren't a direct fit for our hamper and baby gifts, they ignite my passion as I handpick unique products for Roo & Little Boo. Each idea fuels my drive to offer something special, thoughtful, innovative, and full of heart so that every family’s gift tells a story of care and creativity.
