These adorable, handmade 100% Alpaca and Merino Fleece booties make the perfect baby shower, christening or layette gift to add that warmth and snugness to little baby toes.

Please note that this item is not washable, due to the ecological tanning process. We recommend you gently rub the fur with talc and restore the fluffiness with a wire brush, ideally a pet brush if you have one! 

This Alpaca fur is sourced from herd wastage resulting from harsh Peruvian winters.  No alpaca is slaughtered for its skin.  It is not financially viable for farmers to do so - the skins are tiny and worth little compared with fleeces which can be shorn during a whole lifetime and spun into yarn.  Alpacas can live over 15 years promising shearing potential of far greater value than a single pelt.
